How much you know about polyester?
As we all know, polyester is a type of polyester fiber. It is a synthetic fiber obtained by condensing polyesters formed by the condensation of organic dicarboxylic acids and diols, and then spinning. It is abbreviated as PET fiber and belongs to a type of polymer compound. Polyester fibers are one of the later-developed fibers among synthetic fibers.
Polyester fabric is one of the most commonly used synthetic clothing fabrics in daily life.

Do you know what advantages it has?
1. Strong moisture absorption:
The strength of the fibers is extremely high. Moreover, due to the relatively low moisture absorption capacity of the fibers, the wet strength and dry strength of the fabric are basically the same, thus the impact resistance strength of the fabric will be very natural.
2. Excellent elasticity:
The elasticity of this fabric is very close to that of wool. Once the fabric is deformed under force, it can quickly return to its original shape.
3. Excellent wrinkle resistance:
The wrinkle resistance of polyester fabric is also very strong. Thus, the fabrics made from this material are less prone to wrinkles and have excellent dimensional stability.
4. Long-lasting durability:
The fabric has excellent heat resistance and strong light resistance. It has good thermoplastic properties and can be used to produce various chemical products with excellent quality. It is very durable and has a long service life.

Then what disadvantages it has?
1.The coloration is poor.
Since the synthetic fiber material is not good at absorbing color. The dye molecules cannot easily penetrate into the fibers. Even if the dye is applied, it is very difficult for the color to change. Therefore, the color is not particularly bright, but it will not fade easily.
2. Poor flame resistance.
As this fabric is a synthetic fiber, it has poor flame resistance. When exposed to soot or sparks, it is prone to forming holes. Therefore, during wearing, one should try to avoid contact with cigarette butts and sparks.
3. Poor moisture absorption.

The moisture absorption property of polyester fabric is extremely poor. It tends to be non-breathable, causing a feeling of heat and discomfort. It also attracts dust easily because the synthetic fabric fibers are closely arranged. Therefore, its breathability is relatively poor, making it uncomfortable to wear, especially in hot seasons or weather conditions.
4. Prone to balling.
This is the biggest drawback of this fabric. The clothes we wear are often rubbed and worn over time, and balling occurs then, which is not aesthetically pleasing. Therefore, it can be used in areas that are less prone to wear.
To sum up, polyester has it advantags and disadvantages, just like that nobody's perfect. We can base on our request and apply it properly.
